O’Neill Insurance Agency Welcomes Peter Van Auker
Wadsworth, December 2, 2010: The O’Neill Group welcomes Peter Van Auker, a native of Fairlawn, Ohio and graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, to its Downtown Wadsworth office. Van Auker, who will serve as an intern with the independent insurance agency, is currently a senior majoring in Finance and Marketing at Ohio University. He is also a student of The Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre Program at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
The Schey Sales Centre was established by the Ohio University Board of Trustees in 1997 to develop and differentiate tomorrow’s sales stars by focusing on core sales competencies. The Centre provides innovative learning both inside and outside the classroom. Students who are accepted to the program may earn a sales certificate upon completion of required classroom work and a sales internship.
The O’Neill Group internship has been preapproved by the university to fulfill Peter’s internship obligations for this year. Along with gaining an understanding of the insurance industry and agency sales, Peter will also complete additional requirements of his certificate program including performing ongoing sales analysis, personal analysis, and academic components of sales training.

Corporate Citizen of the Year Distinction Given to The O’Neill Group
Wadsworth, November 4, 2010: The O’Neill Group has been honored by the Medina County Economic Development Corporation and sponsors Westfield Bank and COSE, with the title of “Corporate Citizen of the Year – Company” during the 2010 Medina County Business Awards (MCBA) presentation.
MCBA strives to recognize businesses and individuals that have achieved significant and positive results in terms of innovation, investment, sustainability and community involvement. This award honors the Medina County company that goes well beyond the minimum expectation of community service and was established to recognize outstanding civic contributions made to the Medina County community. Candlelight Walk; Letters from Santa
Wadsworth, October 18, 2010: The O’Neill Group announces its participation in the annual Downtown Wadsworth Candlelight Walk. The FREE event takes place on the historic square in Wadsworth on Friday, November 19, 2010. Festivities begin at 6:00 in the evening.
The independent insurance agency will once again accept reservations to receive letters from Santa. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends are encouraged to bring their favorite child’s name and address so they may receive a personalized letter from Santa Claus in time for Christmas. A small donation is suggested for this activity and will go to the Wadsworth Salvation Army to benefit a needy family to help make their Christmas a reality.

The O’Neill Group Named Outstanding Business of the Year
The O’Neill Group was awarded the prestigious title of “Outstanding Business of the Year” at the 30th Annual Rosie Awards held by the Wadsworth Ohio Chamber of Commerce on February 24, 2010.
The independent insurance agency, whose offices are located on the Historic Square in Downtown Wadsworth, offers personal, commercial and life and health insurance packages from top-rated companies. The agency prides itself on being a proactive services company with a strong focus on supplying clients with customized protection plans as well as superior products and services.
