The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank began it's annual Harvest for Hunger food campaign earlier this March, and it will continue through the end of April. The O'Neill Group has partnered with them to help feed those in need in our own community. As one of the tag lines say, "it's closer than you think," and we hope to make a difference. We have collection bins in our office at 111 High Street in Wadsworth, the only Downtown Wadsworth dropoff point, and we're adding two additional "jean days" to our schedule. For those two scheduled Mondays, all of our team members can wear jeans if they donate $10 to do so. $10 doesn't sound like much but when you understand that for every $1 the Foodbank can turn it into four meals, it makes a big difference. Our two days with sixteen employees chipping in $10 each will result in 1,280 meals.
The O'Neill Group is also offering the option to refer your family and friends. For each person you send our way, we're donating $25. That equates to 100 meals for just one referral. Imagine if we received 50 referrals! That's 5,000 meals for our community!
